Netherlands - Weather Overview
Temperate, marine, cool summers and mild winters. The proximity of the sea and the warm North Atlantic Gulf Stream ensure a temperate maritime climate. The temperature therefore does not fluctuate greatly in the course of a day or a year. The average temperature fluctuates between 2 °C in January and 17 °C in July. This does not imply that extreme temperatures never occur. The lowest temperature ever recorded in the Netherlands was -24.8 °C and the highest +36.8 °C. Precipitation is fairly evenly distributed over the year, although spring is usually dryer than autumn. About 800 millimeters of rain fall each year.
